Avvo Mobile Proxies for Law Firm Profile and Placement Monitoring
Avvo lists most practising US lawyers whether they asked to be listed or not, scores them, collects client reviews and answers legal questions in a public forum. Potential clients search by practice area and city and get a ranked list with sponsored lawyers on top. For a firm, the profile is a storefront it did not build but has to maintain, and the placement is bought per city and per practice area. What a client in Boston sees for a divorce lawyer is not what a client in Houston sees, and neither is what a marketing manager sees from an office network elsewhere. Dedicated Mobile Proxies gives the firm, or the agency working for it, a US carrier modem in the city, used by nobody else.
A directory built on city and practice area
Avvo's search takes a practice area and a location, and the location is prefilled from the visitor's address. The results carry an Avvo Rating, a review count, the years licensed, and a sponsored band at the top that firms buy for specific cities and practice areas. The question-and-answer forum is also local by default: a visitor sees questions and answering lawyers from their own state.
A carrier address in New York resolves to New York, so the search is prefilled correctly and the sponsored band is the one sold for that market. Our modems hold AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon SIMs in eight metros, which covers a lot of the markets where firms buy placement.
What a firm should monitor
Three things. First, each attorney's profile: the rating, the review count, the badges, the practice areas shown and whether the contact details are correct. Second, the search results for each practice area the firm advertises: who holds the sponsored slots, where the firm's attorneys land organically, which competitors appear above. Third, the forum: whether the firm's answers display and how they rank against others. All of it from the same modem at the same hour each day so the readings compare.
Reviews on Avvo are subject to state bar advertising rules as well as Avvo's own, and that rules out anything other than genuine client reviews. The modem is a window, not a lever. Marketing agencies that manage claimed profiles for firms, with the firms' permission, can run the routine per firm.
Sponsored placement, verified from the market
Avvo sells the top of the results per practice area and metro. A firm that buys placement in Miami for immigration wants to see its attorneys in that band when a Miami client searches. From the Miami modem, run the search and check. Run it for the neighbouring practice areas too, since placement is sold narrowly and a mismatch between what was bought and what shows is worth catching early.
Because the modem's address is fixed in the metro and shared with no other customer, every search looks like one local person looking for a lawyer. Pace it like one. A handful of searches a day is a monitoring routine; hundreds an hour is noise the site will notice.
The claimed profile on one address
Attorneys claim their profile to edit it, respond to reviews and manage advertising. Those accounts hold billing details and the platform treats unfamiliar logins with suspicion. A firm whose marketing lead signs in from home, the office and a conference in one week will meet verification prompts; an agency juggling several firms meets them daily. Putting each firm's account on its own modem gives each a stable origin, one carrier in one city, held for the term, with nobody else's traffic to disturb it.
Monthly plans are $69 on 4G and $79 on 5G, unlimited data, and the modem can be moved between our cities at no cost if the firm's market changes.
The daily routine
Order the modem in the firm's metro. Load Avvo from a browser profile that uses it and confirm the location prefill. Search each advertised practice area and record the sponsored band and organic positions. Open each attorney's profile and record the rating and review count. Check the forum answers. Sign in to the claimed account from the same profile and keep the address sticky.

Avvo proxy questions
Does Avvo prefill the city from the modem?
Yes. The carrier address resolves to the metro, so searches default to that city.
Can I use the modem to respond to reviews?
Yes, from the firm's own claimed account. Responding is allowed; writing reviews is not.
How many searches a day are reasonable?
A handful per practice area. Monitoring looks like a person; bulk querying does not.
Can one agency run several firms through one modem?
Use one modem per firm so each account keeps its own stable origin.
